About Dog Guard of the Valley

We are your Shenandoah Valley and Roanoke Dog Guard fence dealers— Mike and Chloe Surratt. We are a father and daughter team who enjoy keeping your fur babies safe and happy. Our territory encompasses Winchester down to Roanoke, east to Richmond, and everywhere in between! 

Mike Surratt has been a Dog Guard dealer since the 90’s and had his own landscaping company for 20 years. In 2019, we took a leap of faith and decided to take the business full-time, and we never looked back! We are so grateful for the Dog Guard company and all the other dealers across the country, who are always so supportive and there to reach out to. Mike enjoys playing the drums, watching NASCAR and MASH, and listening to live music at Stable Craft Brewing. 

Chloe graduated from Wilson Memorial High School and studied at Roanoke College. She is passionate about health and fitness, a yoga instructor and soon to be nutritionist. You’ll find her either reading, listening to true crime podcasts, or baking. 

When you call Dog Guard, you’ll always speak with one of us to answer your calls and assist you in any way she can!

As dealers, we are able, and often do, speak directly to the owners of Dog Guard and give them feedback on how to make the system better for you and your pet. 

Our family has always had dogs and allowed them to run free and safe in the yard— without the investment and look of a conventional fence. We genuinely care about your pets because they are apart of the family. We understand the unwavering love for your dog. It’s been such an honor to serve and be trusted by all of our customers.
